Obama’s operation, told from beginning to end

On November 10, 2016, Barack Obama received Donald Trump in the Oval Office and spoke of a smooth transition. Behind the handshake, Crossfire Hurricane was months old, the Clinton-funded dossier was circulating through his government, and the takedown of Michael Flynn was already in motion.

The Grand Conspiracy follows Obama’s operation from its rehearsal — a 2014 Cambridge dinner twisted into a “Russian honeytrap” smear against the author herself — through the dossier pipeline, the FISA fraud, the poisoned transition, the Mueller shield, the impeachments, the Mar-a-Lago raid, and the Espionage Act trap, to the declassifications and grand juries of 2025–26. It puts Barack Obama at the center of it all — the crucial meetings where he instructed that the right people be put on it, what he knew, and what he withheld.

The Handshake

The Oval Office, Washington. Thursday, November 10, 2016.

President-elect Donald Trump’s car came up the South Drive of the White House at eleven on the Thursday morning, and he went into the Oval Office. He had been President-elect for thirty-two hours, and Barack Obama was waiting for him. Obama and President-elect Trump had never met. Three months earlier, from the East Room of the same house, Obama had told the country that Donald Trump was unfit to be President.

No aide went in with them, and no reporters.

At half past twelve the doors opened, and the photographers came in low and fast and got down on the carpet. They found Obama and the President-elect in the caramel leather armchairs before the white marble fireplace.

Smeared as a “Russian honeytrap,” on the record since 2017, a witness to the Durham investigation, and a plaintiff against the operation's architects, she writes this account from inside the record.
